Laser Dentistry

Benefit from dental treatment that is comfortable, convenient, and effective.

Promenade Village Dental is proud to offer dental treatment using advanced laser dentistry technology.

Laser dentistry has completely changed the dental experience for many of our patients. Now, you can experience a variety of dental procedures with greater comfort than ever before. Procedures that traditionally take several appointments to complete can now be finished in just one visit.

Laser dentistry is a revolutionary technology that uses a combination of laser energy and water to perform a variety of traditional dental procedures without the use of a dental drill. With laser dentistry our patients benefit from dental treatment that is comfortable, convenient, and effective. Often little to no anesthesia is needed making treatment and recovery quicker and easier. In addition, laser dentistry allows the doctor to remove decay more effectively than with a traditional drill, thereby better preserving the healthy parts of your tooth.

Implants

The most natural and functional solution for replacement of missing teeth.

At the Promenade Village Dental Office our doctors work together with highly trained specialists to provide tooth replacement with dental implants.

A dental implant is a small titanium screw that is inserted into the bone of the jaw. Titanium is a metal that is easily accepted in the body and that has the unique quality of integrating with bone. Once the implant is anchored in the bone crowns, bridges or dentures can be secured to the implant.

The benefits of dental implants are many and include:

  • Most natural and most aesthetic cosmetic replacement
  • Provides most natural and most effective function
  • An implant is independent and does not compromise any other teeth
  • An implant maintains bone which would otherwise deteriorate without tooth replacement
Cosmetic

A wide-range of cosmetic options to make your smile the best it can be!

Hygiene

The importance of good oral hygiene should never be underestimated.

Good oral hygiene is key to a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums and is directly related to other aspects of general health including heart health. It’s never too soon to start healthy, preventative care and it’s never too late to try to halt or reverse the damage of gum disease.

At Promenade Village Dental our dedicated hygienists believe in customizing your hygiene routine to meet your unique needs. In this way we can deliver the care that you need.

Sedation

We want your appointment to be as comfortable as possible...

At Promenade Village Dental it is always our goal to make your dental appointments as pleasant as possible. We offer a number of sedation alternatives for your comfort.

Conscious sedation (also known as nitrous oxide or laughing gas) is a medication that we offer for the relaxation of anxious patients.

Intravenous sedation is offered by Dr. Annie. Sometimes referred to as ‘sleep dentistry’, this title is somewhat misleading since the patient is actually fully conscious throughout the use of IV sedation. IV sedation allows the patient to achieve a deep state of relaxation and is extremely helpful in providing dental care for the nervous or apprehensive patient.

With the use of sedation our doctors are able to help patients feel relaxed and comfortable during dental procedures. If you feel that sedation is necessary or would be helpful in your dental care give us a call to learn more about our sedation options.

Emergency

We will always make time in our schedule to take care of our patients’ emergencies.

The best way to reduce the occurrence of dental emergencies is through regular routine dental care. However emergencies do still sometimes occur. At the Promenade Village Dental Office we will always find time to take care of the emergencies of our patients and do our best to control any pain or discomfort.

Our office is opened evening and weekend hours to accommodate our patients. In the event that you do have an emergency at a time when our doctors are not available, an emergency service phone number will always be available when calling our office.

Gum Graft

A breakthrough treatment for gum recession

What is gum recession?

Gum recession refers to the loss of gum tissue along the gumline. This can occur as a result of periodontal disease (gingivitis, periodontitis, advanced periodontitis), the natural aging process, or abrasive habits when it comes to brushing the teeth.

Why should gum recession be taken seriously?

When gum recession occurs, the root structure of the tooth becomes exposed. This means that tooth decay and other problems can affect the teeth along the gumline and beneath it. Since healthy gums are essential for a healthy mouth, getting gum recession treated is important for lasting dental wellness.

What is the Chao Pinhole® Surgical Technique (PST)?

The Chao Pinhole® Surgical Technique is a minimally invasive option for treating gum recession. Unlike traditional grafting techniques, PST is incision and suture free. All of the tools and techniques used to perform the Chao Pinhole® Surgical Technique were created by Dr. John Chao, and who trained our doctor.

How does the Chao Pinhole® Surgical Technique (PST) differ from traditional gum grafting?

Traditional gum recession treatments involve the use of donor tissue or soft tissue grafts in order to rebuild the gumline. This soft tissue would be sutured in place and would join with existing gum tissue as it healed. While this traditional grafting treatment is effective, comparable results with better patient experience can be achieved through the Chao Pinhole® Surgical Technique.

How is Chao Pinhole® Surgical Technique (PST) performed?

During the Chao Pinhole® Surgical Technique, a needle is used to make a small hole in the patient’s existing gum tissue. Through this pinhole, special instruments are used to gently loosen the gum tissue. These tools help expand and slide the gumline to cover the exposed root structure. There are no grafts, no sutures, and no incisions needed with the Chao Pinhole® Surgical Technique. It simply involves the adjustment of the existing tissue.

What are the benefits of Chao Pinhole® Surgical Technique (PST)?

The benefits of the Chao Pinhole® Surgical Technique are many:

  • Less discomfort for the patient after treatment
  • Faster recovery for the patient than traditional grafting
  • No need for uncomfortable sutures
  • No need for scalpels or invasive surgical tools
  • No need to take donor tissue from the patient’s palate
  • Excellent, natural-looking, long-lasting results
